Chen Haixin, Deputy Director of the Group Promotion (Right protection) Department of Shenzhen Disabled Persons’ Federation, Zhu Xianxian, President of Shenzhen Deaf Association, Wang Yiqiang, Vice President of Shenzhen Deaf Association, Lai Zhuoni, Secretary General of Shenzhen Lions Club 2021-2022, Yang Dehua, Chairman of Disability Committee, Su Jianhua, Executive Chairmen, Luo Guanqi and other guests and Lions Friends attended the opening ceremony.
Vice Director Chen Haixin and President Zhu Xianxian delivered speeches respectively, thanking Shenzhen Lions Club for providing an unhindered, safe and comfortable environment for disabled people to participate in ice and snow sports. They hoped that Shenzhen Lions Club would make the Ice and Snow Sports for disabled people and other “Deep Lion Fusion Cup” sports and sports Games better and continue to be held, advocating the whole society to care for and help disabled people. Join hands with friends with disabilities to create a better life. We also hope that friends with disabilities can promote the spirit of the Winter Olympics through sports and strive to realize their self-worth.
President Yeung Tak Wah extended a warm welcome to all of you and briefly introduced the main contents of the event.
The Secretary-General acknowledged the coordination of the Committee on Disability. She explained that since its establishment, the Shenzhen Lions Club has been committed to promoting the development of the cause of the disabled, enriching the spiritual and cultural life of the disabled through various forms of activities, guiding them to actively integrate into the society and establish a healthy outlook on life.
After a simple ceremony, the event begins. In order to strictly implement epidemic prevention and control measures and better carry out the snow and ice activities, the campaign will be carried out in batches. About 160 people with hearing impairments participated in the ice and snow sports. The rest of them were picked up and given tickets by the officials of the District Deaf Association. They will play at their own time in the future.
With the help of the lion friends and volunteers, the hearing impaired participated in the prize answering activities, received exquisite gifts, and experienced the charm of ice and snow sports under the guidance of professional coaches. The scene was full of joy and laughter.
