The domestic Lions Club of Shenzhen held a forum on the revitalization of Baise at Baise Hotel on July 23. Liu Desheng, Deputy Mayor of Baise City and deputy leader of Guangdong-Guangxi Cooperation Team; Liang Zhongda, full-time deputy director of Baise Shenzhen Cooperation Office; Qi Kun, Deputy Director of Rural Revitalization Bureau and member of Baise Working Group of Guangdong-Guangxi Cooperation Team; Han Shengfeng, member of Party Leading Group of Municipal Investment Promotion Bureau and member of Baise Working Group of Guangdong-Guangxi Cooperation Team; Napo County Party Committee standing Committee, county people’s official deputy county governor Ye Liqiang and other Baise City people’s official leaders; Peng Daojian, President of Shenzhen Lions Club; Yu Xiaoping, Executive Deputy Secretary-General; Huang Shaofang, Chairman of Zone 1; Jin Qian, Chairman of Zone 2; Wu Zhijian, Chairman of Zone 6; Wu Jinzhi, Special Assistant to Chairman of Lions Club; Tang Qing, Chairman of Revitalization Support Committee; Luo Cong, Wang Jianwu, Ma Chaofan, Executive Chairmen; About 40 people attended the meeting, including Ms. Xie Yan, Chairman of the Committee for Foreign Exchange and Cooperation, and Zang Wei, Chairman of the Committee for Educational Services. The meeting was chaired by Leung Chung-tat.
President Peng Daojian thanked the Guangdong-Guangxi Cooperation Team and the people of Baise for their strong support to the revitalization work of the Shenzhen Lions Club in China, and paid tribute to the cadres who left Shenzhen to help Baise. He introduced that this visit to Baise revitalize the help project, hoping to understand the needs of Baise help through discussion and field investigation, combined with their own abilities, to achieve accurate help.
President Tang Qing expressed gratitude to the Guangdong-Guangxi Cooperation Team for supporting the rural revitalization work of Shenzhen Lions Club Baise in the past year, and arranged for Ma Chaofan, Liu Meijiao, Luo Cong and Wang Jianwu to make presentations on the four aspects of education revitalization, medical revitalization, industrial revitalization and convenience projects. According to the Framework Agreement between the Shenzhen Lions Club and the Guangdong-Guangxi Cooperation Work Team, the Shenzhen Lions Club has carried out cataract surgery for about 200 cases in Baise in the past year, donated 2 ultrasound machines and 217 street lamps, and carried out one-to-one school support for low-income students to continue their education, treatment of poor children in the area, cervical cancer screening and other projects. This year, on the basis of inheriting the last year’s project, the domestic Shenzhen Lions Club will increase. The “Gardener hand in hand · Heart bright” project hopes to improve the teaching guidance ability of Baise teachers and students’ psychological counseling ability through the project. The participants also expressed their strong intention to support the revitalization of Baise industry from their respective industries.
The Special Staff of Guangxi Industrial Revitalization Task Force in Baise City, the Municipal Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Health Commission, the Education Bureau, the Industry and Information Technology Bureau, the Commerce Bureau, the Municipal Shenzhen-Baibai Cooperation Office, the Urban Management and Supervision Bureau, and the relevant administrative leaders of Baidong New District introduced the work in the related fields of Baise City respectively. We also made preliminary negotiations on street lamp installation, medical equipment donation, one-to-one assistance, campus assistance and industrial assistance for the domestic Shenzhen Lions Club Baise Revitalization assistance project.
Inapo county is adjacent to Vietnam, and the situation of epidemic prevention and control is complicated, which is not conducive to field investigation. At the meeting site, participants communicated with teachers and students of Chengxiang Junior High School in Napo County through video. There are a certain proportion of orphans in the school and many students from low-income families.
At the meeting, Vice Mayor Liu Desheng affectionately called Lion friends as “family members from Shenzhen”. He reviewed the experience of getting along with the Lions and affirmed the contribution made by the domestic Shenzhen Lions Club to Baise City in the past year. He introduced the excellent teachers arranged by Shenzhen to assist Guangxi as volunteer teachers. He hoped that the Lions Club and the volunteer teachers could communicate with each other and make joint efforts to help students. He analyzed the complementary advantages of Shenzhen City and Baise City in China, and welcomed Shiyou to make use of the green mountains and clear water of Baise City and the advantages of human resources to help revitalize the industry.
Return visit to inspect project Learn the Baise spirit
From 24th to 25th, Peng Daojian, chairman of the group of 25 people, under the leadership of the Guangdong-Guangxi Cooperation Task Force and Baise people’s official leadership, visited the street lamp project in Tiandong County and inspected three schools, namely Tiandong Third Middle School (formerly Senior Middle School), Lingyun Vocational Secondary School and Lingyun Senior High School. The three schools have domestic Shenzhen – Guangxi volunteer teachers. Among them, Lingyun County vocational secondary school, Lingyun County high school two school principals for domestic Shenzhen aid Guangxi volunteer teachers. At present, there are insufficient supporting facilities such as speed printing machine, smart blackboard, labor practice base and water supply equipment in the three schools. There are few teachers and many students from low-income families.
Lion friends to Baigu Red Army exhibition Hall, Haokun Village to learn the Party history, review the spirit of Baise. During the Second Civil Revolutionary War, there were 86 families in Baigu Village. Except for one landlord, the rest of them had members of the Seven Red Armies and the Red Guard. Some had father and son soldiers and some had brothers. Born in Baigu village, Zhu Heyun moved to the North and South and became a general in the People’s Republic of China’s Liberation Army. To pay tribute to the village of revolutionary martyrs, the Shenzhen Lions Club donated 20,000 yuan to Baigu Village, Pingma Town, Tiandong County.
