Shenzhen Lions Club of China holds 2nd District Meeting for 2022-2023 – District News – News Feed – Shenzhen Lions Club of China

On November 19, 2022, the second District Meeting of the Shenzhen Lions Club of China (2022-2023) was successfully held at the Shenzhen Lions Club Office. The meeting reported the recent work situation, the recent service activities, the requirements of standardizing service activities and the next work arrangement.

More than 90 people attended the meeting, including Peng Daojian, President of Shenzhen Lions Club, Tan Fei, second Vice President, Zhou Wenpei, Secretary general, Chen Xusheng, Chief Executive Officer, Yu Xiaoping, Deputy Secretary general, Wen Yaoli, Secretary general of the Board of Supervisors, Li Xiaofeng, Lu Guiqin, chairmen of special working organizations and representatives of the service team. The meeting was presided over by Jin Qian, chairman of Zone 2, Xian Wisdom, Chairman of Zone 8 and Liu Jun, chairman of Zone 9.

President Peng Daojian reported the recent work situation. According to the arrangement of the annual program of work, the affairs of LIONS Club Shenzhen China are in good order. By November 19, 2022, the club has successfully held a number of meetings, including the Executive Council, the Board of Governors, the District business meeting, the district workshop, and the regular meeting of the special working organizations. In terms of membership development, as of November 18, 2022, there were 3,521 regular members of Shenzhen Lions Club, 293 new members in the first batch and 132 new members in the second batch. Guided Lions Club has organized two training sessions for new members and will hold a third training session for new members in the near future.

Tan Fei, the second Vice president, reported the recent service activities. From July 1 to November 9, 2022, Lions Club Shenzhen China conducted 201 service activities, with a service fund of 14,509,300 yuan. 2,449 members participated in the service, 85,574 people benefited from the service, and the service fund per member was 3,745.3 yuan. Tan Fei, the second Vice president of the Company, announced the requirements on standardizes the service activities, and hoped that all service teams could do a good job of reporting the service activities and fundraising activities in advance, and promote the service activities in an orderly way.

The Committee then shared its work. The Chairman of the Green Services Committee, Mr Zhao Yun-peng, introduced the implementation plan and form of the health and environmental Service activities in three aspects, including public chopsticks and spoons, CD project and garbage separation. He called on the service teams to actively participate in the annual activities of the Green Services Committee. Ms Ho Linna, Chairperson of the Medical and Health Commission, introduced the “Lion Love Post” and the annual activity plan of the Commission. She hoped that more medical workers could receive care through the “Lion Love Post”. Liang Yidong, Executive Chairman of the Red Action Committee, shared the origin of the Red Action brand and the numerous achievements of previous Red Action, and proposed that all service teams organize blood donation activities to provide blood security for medical treatment. Li Feng, executive chairman of the Diabetes Prevention Publicity Committee, introduced the harm of diabetes and the importance of prevention in advance. He hoped the lions could start from themselves, maintain good living habits, prevent diabetes, and arouse the attention of the whole society to diabetes through words and deeds.

Lv Guiqin, on behalf of the Board of Supervisors, expressed her opinions on the supervision, affirming that the district affairs meeting was standardized, rigorous and efficient, and hoped that the reasonable and effective supervision of the board of supervisors would provide guarantee for the service teams to carry out the lion affairs work.

President Peng Daojian thanked the Lions for their strong support for this year’s work. He fully recognized the wonderful sharing and dedication of the four committees of environmental protection, medical and health care, Red Action and diabetes prevention and education. He hoped that the four committees would give full play to their guiding role, further integrate resources, optimize service quality and efficiency through joint service teams, and continuously enhance the influence of the brand service of LIONS Club of Shenzhen, China.
