Shenzhen Lions Club held the first Board meeting of the year 2022-2023

On August 13, 2022, the first Board meeting of Shenzhen Lions Club 2022-2023 was held at the Changsheng Restaurant, OCT Building, Nanshan District. Thirty-seven directors of the Shenzhen Lions Club, including President Peng Dao-jian, last president Guo Yongyong, first Vice President Nie Xiangdong, second Vice president Tan Fei, Secretary General Zhou Wenpei, Chief Financial Officer Xu Qiubin, Chief Executive Officer Chen Xusheng, Chief Picket Officer Lian Chuhai and Executive Deputy Secretary General Yu Xiaoping, attended the meeting. Chief Supervisor Weng Hua, former President Xiao Xingping and Wang Jinliang, Secretary General of the Board of Supervisors Wen Yaoli, Supervisors Li Zhou, Deng Yi, Li Xiaofeng, Lu Guiqin, Chen Qunhao, Special Assistant of President Huang Weiqiang, Tang Qing, Qian Lin, Wu Jinzhi, Fan Guangyu, Director-General Ma Huijuan attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Tan Fei and executive chaired by Li Chunchang, Deputy Secretary-General, Lin Xiaoyi, chairman of the Fourth Zone and Li Qing, chairman of the first zone.
The participating directors elected the Secretary General, the Treasurer, the Chief Inspector, the Deputy Secretary General for the year 2022-2023, Reviewed and approved the Board structure and division of work, work plan, program of activities, structure and list of specialized working organizations, financial work plan, budget of administrative and service expenses, and recommended members of specialized working organizations for the year 2022-2023. Carry out the lion work of the year in an orderly manner.
Tan Fei, the second Vice president, delivered a welcoming speech, thanking Quanqin, the new director, for attending the first council meeting of the year, which greatly demonstrated the cohesion and centripetal force of the council team. According to the relevant rules and regulations, the secretary general of the SZ Lions Club is recommended by the business authority and elected by the new board of Directors. Peng Daojian, President of Shenzhen Municipal Disabled Persons’ Federation, read out the reply on the recommendation of the candidate for Secretary General of Shenzhen Lions Club in 2022-2023. Secretary General candidate Zhou Wenpei briefly introduced his personal experience and expressed his views and thoughts on the post of Secretary general. Zhou Wenpei Gao was elected Secretary General of the Shenzhen Lions Club for the year 2022-2023 after a vote by all the members. At the same time, after the nomination of President Peng Dao-jian and the voting of the board members, they approved the 2022-2023 financial chief Xu Qiubin, General Secretary Chen Xusheng, picket chief Lian Chuhai and Executive Deputy Secretary Yu Xiaoping.
Peng Daojian, Chairman of CCPIT Xiamen expounded the 2022-2023 work plan. This year, under the annual theme of “Going New”, the Shenzhen Lions Club will celebrate with the theme of “Good Deeds”. “To the New” is the annual slogan, adhere to the principle of Party building and guiding organization and governance, resolutely maintain the two systems of “faith and credit” accumulated after 20 years of development, grasp the new development stage, implement the new development concept, and construct the new development pattern, focusing on the service field of the disabled, national strategic service field, medical and health service field, harmonious community service field. He said that under the correct guidance of Domestic Lions Federation and Shenzhen Disabled Persons Federation, Shenzhen Lions Club will take on new responsibilities and make new achievements to welcome the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.
Tan Fei, the second Vice President of CCPIT Xiamen introduced the program of 2022-2023; Secretary-general Zhou Wenpei read out the structure and list of specialized agencies for 2022-2023; Peng Daojian, Chairman of China Lions Association, introduced and recommended members of the special working organization for the year 2022-2023. All items reviewed were approved by high votes of the board members present.
Xu Qiubin, Chief financial officer, presents the annual financial work plan. This year, the financial work of Shenzhen Lions Club will inherit the excellent financial management, promote the information construction and management of the financial system, improve the reimbursement system and reimbursement process, develop the financial training courseware content and promote the donation tax preferential policy, improve the service awareness and quality of the financial staff of the club, continue to inherit and standardize, do a good job in the handover, enhance the service awareness and improve the work efficiency. Chief Financial Officer Suh introduced the fees for the activities of directors and committees this year, and discussed the budget of administrative expenses and service expenses with the directors present.
Chief Inspector Lian Chuhai announced the discipline of directors attending the meeting. He hoped directors could abide by the discipline of the board and earnestly perform their duties.
Nie Xiangdong, the First Vice President of China, briefed the post duties of the Council members and the list of special assistants to the President for the year 2022-2023. He also led the Lions’ service training and the mobilization of the tribute ceremony and the inauguration ceremony. He said that the two activities will be strictly implemented in accordance with the requirements of epidemic prevention and control, and he hopes that all directors actively support and organize their districts and service teams to participate in the two activities and jointly run the two activities well.
In the free discussion section, Lin Xiaoyi, Tang Xuanyong, Xu Xinxin, Wu Zhijian, Wei Xinxin and Zhou Zhihui gave their opinions and suggestions on service activities, conference process and organizational structure successively. Former President Wang Jinliang also led the new directors to review the history of Lions Club. I hope that the director team headed by President Peng Daojian can learn more advanced management experience, make steady and long-term progress, and do a good job as a good assistant to the government and the people.
Weng Hua, chief supervisor of the supervision opinions, he praised the meeting efficient and orderly, all the members of the spirit of enthusiastic. He hoped that the new members of the Board of Directors would study the Constitution of the Shenzhen Lions Club and the Board of Supervisors System carefully and have a better understanding of the relevant system. Only in this way can they better enhance their sense of discipline and enhance their ability to perform their duties. He said that this year, the Board of Supervisors will earnestly perform their supervisory duties and jointly create a fair, just and open atmosphere for the Shenzhen Lions Club.
Chairman Peng Daojian made a concluding speech, thanking Chief Supervisor Weng Hua and former Chairman Wang Jinliang for their valuable advice, and thanking former Chairman Guo Yongyong and his board members for their efforts in 2021-2022, which laid a good foundation for this year’s lions work. He said that as the new annual president, he feels the great responsibility and will work with all members to efficiently and pragmatically complete the 2022-2023 work plan, open up a new situation in an all-round way, and push the lion affairs work to a new level.
