On September 27, 2022, the first District meeting of the 2022-2023 Shenzhen Lions Club was successfully held at the Shenzhen Lions Club Office. The meeting briefed the recent work situation and the next work arrangement, the 20th anniversary celebration of the Shenzhen Lions Club in China, the 2021-2022 Tribute Ceremony and the 2022-2023 inauguration ceremony, the anti-epidemic work of the Hainan Office of the Lions Federation in China, the implementation of the office maintenance and repair project, andRegional service team fund data analysis, etc.
More than 200 people attended the meeting, including President Peng Dao-jian, first Vice President Nie Xiang-dong, second Vice president Tan Fei, Secretary General Zhou Wenpei, Chief Financial Officer Xu Qiubin, Chief Executive Officer Chen Xusheng, Chief picket Officer Lian Chuhai, Executive Deputy Secretary Yu Xiaoping, supervisors Zhao Hui and Li Xiaofeng, chairmen of special working organizations and representatives of the service team. The meeting was chaired by Huang Shao-fang, Chairman of Zone 1, and Zhou Jian, chairman of Zone 4, and Su Bing, chairman of Zone 5, as executive chairmen.
Peng Daojian, President of the Lions Club in Shenzhen, reported the recent work on the general election, membership development, cadre training, office renovation, special work organization, publicity and service activities. This year, according to the spirit of the Association’s document on membership development, the domestic Lions Club Shenzhen plans to increase its membership by 3%. As of September 24, 2022, the number of old members has reached 3,492 and the first batch of new members has reached 307. In terms of service activities, from July 1 to September 27, 2022, the domestic Shenzhen Lions Club carried out 117 service activities, such as assisting the disabled, providing community services, assisting students, providing medical and health services, and promoting assistance, with a service fund of 9.3053 million yuan. 1,362 members participated in the service, 40,155 benefited people, and the service fund per member was 2,401.98 yuan. Chairman Peng Daojian planned the next step, saying that he would orderly push forward the work of the lions, such as the revision of the system, the collection of peace posters, the training of members, the preparation of the tribute and inauguration ceremony and the 2023 charity gala.
Nie Xiangdong, the first Vice president of Shenzhen Lions Club, introduced that according to the planning plan of the series of activities marking the 20th anniversary of the establishment of Shenzhen Lions Club in China, Shenzhen Lions Club held a live broadcast on April 2nd, inviting all the presidents to share their thoughts on the Lion Road. The live broadcast was watched by more than 4000 people. He expressed his heartfelt thanks to all the Lions for their great support. He also said that due to the epidemic, the 20th anniversary celebration of the Shenzhen Lions Club, the 2021-2022 Tribute Ceremony and the 2022-2023 inauguration Ceremony have been postponed again and again. Currently, the festival is tentatively scheduled to be held in October, and all lions who are over 20 years old will be invited to attend for free. He said that he would lead the preparatory team to carefully plan for all the lion friends to create a remarkable and unforgettable wonderful party.
Tan Fei, the second Vice President of CCPIT Xiamen, briefed the representative Office in Hainan on its anti-epidemic efforts. After receiving the proposal of Hainan Representative Office on assisting Hainan Representative Office in the fight against COVID-19, the Shenzhen Lions Club acted quickly and donated nearly 200,000 yuan worth of aid materials to Longhua District, Meilan District, Qiongshan District and Xiuying District of Haikou City, Hainan Province, to help Hainan’s epidemic prevention and control work. He also informed the revenue budget, expenditure budget, construction status, implementation structure and division of labor of the first and second phase of the office maintenance and repair projects. He hoped that the service teams would continue to make donations to improve the office environment and facilitate the docking of lion service work with the staff.
According to the development trend of public welfare under the epidemic, Chief Financial Officer Xu Qiubin summarized and analyzed the expenditure and expenditure of each district and service team, advocated the integration of resources of each district and service team, combined with the overall annual service plan of the district council, and linked the corresponding specialized working organizations to carry out service activities. He encouraged the service teams to learn from each other, learn from each other, support the weak, dare to set up projects, strive for excellence, and serve the local community more.

Zhao Hui expressed his opinions on behalf of the Board of supervisors, affirming that the district business meeting was compact, efficient, reasonably arranged, and successfully held with the enthusiastic participation of all the Lion friends; I also thank the various specialized agencies for their wonderful sharing in different forms, which provided guidance for the service teams to carry out the lion’s work.
In his concluding speech, President Peng Daojian thanked all the Lion Friends for their strong support for the work this year, and thanked the service teams for their support for the maintenance and repair project of the office. He said that the development of the Shenzhen Lions Club in the past 20 years cannot be separated from the silent companionship of the Lions and the leadership of the team leaders for the service team. He hopes that through the annual Lion care work, the Lions will continue to enhance the sense of belonging of the Lions and lead all the Lions to unite their hearts and work together for public welfare.
